An Illinois Case Management Order (IMO) is a type of court order issued by the Illinois court system. It is used to manage cases pending resolution. CMOS are commonly used in civil cases. This includes cases pertaining to family law, personal injury, probate, and other civil matters. There are three types of CMOS: Initial Case Management Orders, Status Case Management Orders, and Final Case Management Orders. An Initial Case Management Order is issued when a case is filed and outlines the duties of the parties involved and the deadlines for filing certain documents. A Status Case Management Order is used to update the court on the progress of the case and to set new deadlines. A Final Case Management Order is issued when a case is concluded and outlines the final resolution and any other necessary instructions.
