An Illinois Order Modifying Payment Plan (also known as an "Order Modifying Payment Plan") is a court order issued by the Illinois court system that allows a debtor to modify their payment plan with creditors. It is used when a debtor is unable to make their payments as scheduled, or needs to change the terms of their payment agreement. The order allows the debtor to reduce, extend, or suspend payments, or to make a payment plan that is more affordable. There are two types of Illinois Order Modifying Payment Plans: voluntary and involuntary. A voluntary Order Modifying Payment Plan is initiated by the debtor, while an involuntary Order Modifying Payment Plan is initiated by the court. In both cases, the order must be approved by the court and all parties must agree to the terms before it can take effect.
