An Idaho Order for Name Change (Multiple Minors) is a court order that allows a person or persons to change the name of two or more minor children who are related. The order can include the names of the minor children, the parents or guardians, the reasons for the name change, and the requested new names. There are two types of Idaho Order for Name Change (Multiple Minors): 1) a joint petition, which is filed by both parents or guardians, and 2) an individual petition, which is filed by one of the parents or guardians. Both types of petitions must provide proof of parental identification, relationship to the minor children, and consent from the non-petitioning parent or guardian. Once the petition is approved, the court will issue an Idaho Order for Name Change (Multiple Minors), which will be effective immediately.
