The Florida Statement of Dissociation for General Partner of Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Partnership is a legal document used in the state of Florida to dissociate a general partner from a limited partnership or a limited liability partnership. This document allows the general partner to remove him or herself from the partnership, while retaining the ownership rights over the partnership. This document must be signed by the general partner and filed with the Florida Secretary of State in order for the dissociation to be effective. There are two types of Florida Statement of Dissociation for General Partner of Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Partnership: the voluntary dissociation and the involuntary dissociation. The voluntary dissociation is when the general partner voluntarily removes himself or herself from the partnership, while the involuntary dissociation is when the general partner is removed by the other partners or by a court order.
