A Florida Request For Hearing is a written request made to the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (NOAH) for a formal hearing on an issue involving state agencies. This request must be filed with the NOAH to start the process of having an administrative hearing, which is a legal process in which the parties to a dispute present evidence and arguments before an impartial hearing officer. There are two types of Florida Request For Hearing: Contested Case Hearing Request and Declaratory Statement Hearing Request. A Contested Case Hearing Request is a formal petition for a hearing to resolve an administrative dispute, while a Declaratory Statement Hearing Request is a request for a formal ruling on an issue or set of facts. Both types of Florida Request For Hearing must be submitted in writing to the NOAH.
