Delaware The Parents Supervised Driving Program 2016 is a program designed to help parents prepare their teen drivers for safe and responsible driving. The program includes a comprehensive driving curriculum, supervised driving practice, and a mandatory parent-teen agreement. It is divided into three stages, each of which is designed to progressively build a teen's driving skills. Stage 1 focuses on basic driving concepts and techniques, such as steering and braking. Stage 2 focuses on more advanced driving skills, such as merging, lane changing, and parking. Stage 3 is the supervised driving portion of the program which requires parents to accompany their teens on a minimum of 10 hours of driving practice. The program also includes a mandatory parent-teen agreement which outlines expectations, safety rules, and consequences for breaking the rules.
