District of Columbia Articles of Amendment of Domestic Limited Liability Company are documents that are filed when a Domestic Limited Liability Company (DLL) in the District of Columbia wishes to change its articles of organization. These documents must be filed with the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DORA) in order to be effective. The amendment can be used to change the company’s name, address, purpose, duration, or number of members. Depending on the type of amendment, a filing fee must be paid to the DORA. There are two types of District of Columbia Articles of Amendment of Domestic Limited Liability Company: Articles of Amendment and Articles of Merger. Articles of Amendment are used to modify the existing articles of organization, while Articles of Merger are used to merge two or more DLL Cs into a single company.
