The Connecticut Renunciation of Status Report is a legal document used by individuals who have been granted legal status in Connecticut, such as a resident alien, to formally renounce their status in the state. It is also known as Form CT-848. This form is used to declare that the person no longer wishes to be recognized as a resident or alien of Connecticut, and to inform the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services of the renunciation. This form is required to be filed with the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services within 45 days of the date of the renunciation. There are two types of Connecticut Renunciation of Status Report: Form CT-848A and Form CT-848B. Form CT-848A is for residents who are renouncing their resident alien status, while Form CT-848B is for aliens who are renouncing their alien status. Both forms require the individual to provide their name, social security number, address, date of renunciation, and a statement of renunciation.
