A Connecticut Notice of Appearance is a legal document used in Connecticut state court proceedings to inform the court and other parties of the appearance of an attorney representing a party in a case. In Connecticut, there are two types of Notices of Appearance. The first type is called a Notice of Appearance for Initial Appearance and is filed by an attorney representing a party at the beginning of a case. This type of Notice includes the name of the attorney, the date of the Notice, the name and address of the attorney’s office, the case number, the name and address of the court, the name and address of the parties, and the name of the party the attorney is representing. The second type of Notice is called a Notice of Appearance for Subsequent Appearances and is filed by an attorney who is already on record in a case. This type of Notice includes the name of the attorney, the date of the Notice, the name and address of the attorney’s office, the case number, the name and address of the court, and the name of the party the attorney is representing. Both types of Notices are filed with the court and served on all parties in the case.
