California Lien Filing Fee Refund Request is a form used to request a refund of lien filing fees paid to the Secretary of State when filing a lien in California. There are two types of California Lien Filing Fee Refund Requests: 1) Refund Request for Lien Filing Fees Paid in Error; and 2) Refund Request for Lien Filing Fees Paid in Excess. To be eligible for a refund, the filer must provide a copy of the lien filing receipt and a letter explaining why the refund is being requested. The filer must also provide proof that the lien has been released.
