California Standard Orders Attachment (or CSA) is a form used by California courts to modify existing child custody or visitation orders. It is typically used in cases involving modification requests, such as changes to child support, parenting time, or decision-making authority. It is used by both parties in the case to explain their position and make recommendations to the court. CSA is issued in conjunction with a Notice of Motion or Order to Show Cause, which is filed to request the modification. There are three types of California Standard Orders Attachment: Temporary Custody and Visitation Orders (TCV), Joint Custody and Visitation Orders (CV), and Custody and Visitation Orders (CV). The TCV is used when both parents agree to a temporary change in custody or visitation arrangements. The CV is used when both parents agree to a permanent change in custody or visitation arrangements. The CV is used when only one parent requests a change in custody or visitation arrangements.
