This order requires the respondent to stay a certain distance away from the petitioner, and any location they have specified, and refrain from any contact or communication with them. In addition, the respondent may be prohibited from possessing a firearm, and/or from visiting the petitioner’s place of work or school. The order is enforced through the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (LETS) and is available to all 58 California counties.
