The Arizona Petition for Protection Order (also known as an Injunction Against Harassment) is a legal document filed in Arizona court to protect a person or family from harm or harassment caused by another individual or group. The Petition can be filed against a person, business, or organization that has caused harm or threatened to cause harm, and can also be used to protect a person from cyberstalking or cyberbullying. There are two types of Arizona Petition for Protection Orders: Temporary orders and Permanent orders. Temporary orders are granted for up to three months and can be renewed if necessary. They include orders staying away from the petitioner, cease contact, and stay away from the petitioner's residence, workplace, and school. Permanent orders can be granted for up to two years and can include orders staying away from the petitioner, cease contact, and stay away from the petitioner's residence, workplace, and school, as well as orders prohibiting the respondent from possessing firearms.
