Alaska Request to Participate by Telephone is a service that allows Alaskan residents to participate in public meetings and hearings remotely. With this service, Alaska residents can call in to a conference line to hear the proceedings in real time and provide their input or ask questions when necessary. This service is available for meetings and hearings held by state and local government offices, as well as those held by certain boards and commissions. There are two types of Alaska Request to Participate by Telephone: Dial-in and Listen-Only. The Dial-in option allows the caller to participate in the meeting, while the Listen-Only option only allows the caller to hear the proceedings. Both options are free of charge.
