Your Florida concealed weapon or firearm license is valid for a period of seven years. Approximately 95 days prior to the expiration date of your license, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) will send you a renewal form with complete instructions on how to renew your license.

You can apply electronically for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License at one of the Division of Licensing's Regional Offices or at one of the authorized tax collector's offices located throughout the State of Florida.
As long as a gun is ``securely encased'', which it would be in a closed glove compartment, you don't need a carry permit to carry a lot a loaded gun in your car in that way in the state of Florida.
