Living on Campus All first-year students graduating from a high school outside SDSU's local admissions-area are required to live on campus for two years.

Residents who wish to cancel their housing contract before their contract start must submit their cancellation online via the Housing Portal. The Cancellation will be effective upon receipt of the notice. A confirmation email will be sent to the student after it is processed.

Prior to check-in, cancellation of a housing assignment must be submitted directly to University Housing in writing by email. To cancel your housing assignment, please send an email to housing@asu from your ASU email account. Please see the schedule of charges and deadlines for details.

No need to provide a preference - the choice is yours based on what is available at your designated lottery time. You'll be able to see who selected into a space already and their roommate matching preferences. The choice is yours to look at it before you confirm your space.

30-Day or 60-Day Notice: For month-to-month agreements, provide a 30-day notice if they've lived in the property for less than a year, or a 60-day notice if they've stayed longer. Notice to Vacate for Unlisted Occupants: For roommates not on the lease, use a general notice to vacate as the first step.
