Competitive Admission Rate Admission to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is highly competitive. For example, for Fall 2024 admission, we received more than 41,000 applications for a freshman class of approximately 7,300 students.
Minimum requirements: Currently an admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate (with full-time enrollment) at the University of Minnesota Rochester. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) - some institutions require a higher GPA.
Regular Deadline applicants: Students who submit their complete applications by the January 1 Regular Deadline will receive an admission decision on Application Tracker by March 31.

Many graduate programs prefer an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher for admission. Consult your program of interest for specific GPA requirements.
