The parties may agree to a different performance. This is called an accord. When the accord is performed, this is called an accord and satisfaction. The original obligation is discharged. In order for there to be an accord and satisfaction, there must be a bona fide dispute; an agreement to settle the dispute; and the performance of the agreement. An example would be settlement of a lawsuit for breach of contract. The parties might settle for less than the amount called for under the contract.

Prepare for a C&P Exam The VA may schedule a Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam to assess the severity of your hypertension. During the exam, a doctor will measure your blood pressure and ask about any symptoms or complications related to your condition.
Crying during a C&P exam is not inherently harmful to your claim; in fact, it could be helpful and serve as valuable evidence of the severity of your emotional or psychological condition.
NOTE 2: For VA purposes, the INITIAL diagnosis of hypertension or isolated systolic hypertension must be confirmed by readings taken 2 or more times on at least 3 different days.
