What is K+? K+ is King's College London's flagship widening participation programme for sixth form and college students. The two-year programme prepares students for academic, social and cultural life at university. Students are organised into eight pathways based on what they would like to study.
KCL is highly respected because of its medicine and associated research. A lot of top consultants in the NHS are from KCL and their research in the field of medicine and surgical instruments is quite good (biomedical engineering). For STEM it is good but so are other universities like Warwick, Durham, Manchester.
Student Opportunity Fund (SOF) The fund welcomes applications for opportunities that will develop students' knowledge, attributes, skills and experiences which will contribute to their academic and career goals. Students can apply individually (up to £500) or in groups (up to £1000).
The Skilled Worker visa is a sponsored work visa (previously known as Tier 2) for non-UK/Irish nationals and requires a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) issued by King's College London. Family members of skilled worker visa holders can apply for dependent visas which provide the right to live and work in the UK.
As per the data published by UCAS -- 30th January 2020, the overall King's College London acceptance rate is around 12.2%-13%. This means that out of 100 applications that KCL receive, the university approves around 12 to 13 applications that allow or permit students to study at the King's College London.
Applications for our one year full-time International Foundation academic preparation course should be made direct to King's, through the King's Apply portal. We have detailed guidance on the supporting documentation needed for your application on the relevant International Foundation Programme webpage.
UCL is harder to get into than kings. UCL requires a good , so a bare can be (and is often) rejected. It depends also on references/work/publications etc... Kings is a / borderline entry. There are plenty of degrees doing the LLM at KIngs, but it is still an excellent school.
Confirm whether you have an NI number on the system. If the NI is not present, provide the NI number for the record and contact the digital services team at hr@kcl.ac.uk so a manual account can be created.
The national average for first class awards in 2021/22 was 33%, 8% lower than at KCL. Yet the 41% awarding rate of King's is still low when compared to other London Russell Group universities. The rate for the London School of Economics (LSE) is 44%, University College London (UCL) 47% and Imperial College London 48%.
