Generally, to travel outside the United States, a TPS beneficiary must apply for travel authorization (Form I-131) and receive Form I-512T, Authorization for Travel by a Noncitizen to the United States BEFORE leaving.
You can get permission to travel through either Advance Parole or TPS travel authorization. Either method requires you to complete Form I-131. It costs $575 to file this form, and the USCIS normally takes about three months to process it. Applicants most often submit Form I-131 to the USCIS by mail.
If you are a TPS beneficiary applying for a new travel authorization document, you should continue to use Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. If you have a pending Form I-131, you do not need to file a new application.
