The Employment Act of 2007 It defines the benefits, duties and obligations of the employer and the worker, which includes: contract of service, prohibition against forced labour, discrimination in employment, sexual harassment, payment of wages, leave, termination, and living amenities.

The employer is required to issue the employee with a Notice to Show cause letter, allowing the employee to respond substantively to any allegations presented against him. The employee is also to be taken through hearing and/or disciplinary proceedings before a decision to dismiss them is considered.
