Open the file browser via the menu item Recover Unsaved Workbooks. Search for the folder C:\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office or C:\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel to recover your unsaved Excel files.
Set document recovery options Select File > Options. Select Save. Select the Save AutoRecover information checkbox. Set how often you'd like to backup your work.
