The BCC Pass/No Pass policy does the following: It allows for course-level, pass/no pass grading: An earned letter grade of A+ through D- is recorded as a “P” and a failing F grade is recorded as an “NC” (no credit). With a P grade, a student earns credit for the course, but with no effect on GPA.
If a passing grade is earned (A+ through D-), the student will receive a grade of 'P' and credit for the course, with no impact on GPA. If a failing grade is earned (F), the student will receive a grade of NC/NP which does not affect the GPA.
60 is right on the borderline and for some schools it is failing. Some colleges require a 70 percent or a 65 percent though some schools work on a ten point letter grade scale meaning a D would be 60–69; a C 70–79, a B 80–89 and an A above 90. However check with your particular school.
