Dallas County Go to .dallascad. Select forms under navigation links on the left-hand side. Select Residential Homestead Exemption Application. Enter your address and follow the directions on the screen.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION Attach a copy of each property owner's driver's license or state-issued personal identification certificate. The address listed on the driver's license or state-issued personal identification certificate must correspond to the property address for which the exemption is requested.
You may file an Application for Residential Homestead Exemption (PDF) with your appraisal district for the $100,000 homestead exemption up to two years after the taxes on the homestead are due. Once you receive the exemption, you do not need to reapply unless the chief appraiser sends you a new application.
There are multiple ways to file a Homestead Exemption application Form 50-114, however the online option is the fastest, and details are provided in the transcript below.
School taxes: All residence homestead owners are allowed a $100,000 homestead exemption from their home's value for school taxes.
Exemption Status LookUp Under 'Property Search,' type in the address or Quick Reference ID Number of the property. Click on the Owner Information that populates pertaining to the property you are searching. On the Details page, under 'More Resources' select 'Exemption Status LookUp.
