Voluntary Withdrawal Students should contact their Dean of Students' office to withdraw voluntarily from their degree program. Rarely and in limited cases, students may resume study after withdrawal, see Resumption of Students after Voluntary or Administrative Withdrawal.
You have the option to either accept, decline, and/or reduce the amount of the financial aid you are eligible for on your Financial Aid Notification. You may accept, decline, and/or reduce your aid in the My Financial Aid section on my.UChicago.
As a UChicago student you may access Student Loans to assist in satisfying your Student Account charges. Student loans are applied for and processed by your local Financial Aid Office. All loans usually require a separate application and sometimes an additional credit application.

While the University of Chicago (UChicago) does not have a specific minimum GPA requirement, it is a highly competitive university and most successful applicants typically have high GPAs within the A range (3.7 to 4.0 unweighted).
Students wishing to take a leave of absence in the current quarter must submit their request before the withdrawal deadline, which is 5 p.m. on the Monday of the ninth week of instruction or the day before the final exam or final assignment is due, whichever is earlier.
