The Bronx Borough Office serves 365 schools covering six geographic districts and provides a full range of education services to students in grade levels Pre-K to 12.

Community board members must live, work, or have an otherwise significant interest in the neighborhoods served by the community district, and be a New York City resident. In addition, we look for applicants with histories of community involvement, expertise and skill sets, attendance at board meetings.

CBs assess the needs of their community members and meet with City agencies to make recommendations in the City's budget process. Addressing other community concerns. Any issue that affects part or all of a community, from a traffic problem to deteriorating housing, is a proper concern of community boards.
