A claimant or defendant may hire an attorney if they choose to do so, but it is not necessary. The Small Claims Court has monetary jurisdiction up to $10,000.00. Claims for more than $10,000.00 may not be brought in Small Claims Court.

All addresses are written with three fields. The first field is a numeric field indicating the lower-numbered cross street. This is followed by a hyphen and then a numeric field indicating the house number. The third field is the street name and is usually (but not always) numeric.
In New York, as in most places in America, the house number comes first, followed by the name of the street. Thus, house number 2 on Wall Street is 2 Wall Street; house number 1375 on Broadway is 1375 Broadway. In much of the city, the streets have ordinal numbers for names.
On presentation to The Queen, the correct formal address is 'Your Majesty' and subsequently 'Ma'am,' pronounced with a short 'a,' as in 'jam'. For male members of the Royal Family the same rules apply, with the title used in the first instance being 'Your Royal Highness' and subsequently 'Sir'.
Queens is the largest by area of the five boroughs of New York City, coextensive with Queens County, in the U.S. state of New York.
Address Line 1: This line contains the building number, street name, and suffix (e.g., "123 Elm Street, Apt 4B" in the US) and specifies the exact property location. Address Line 2: Includes the city, state (for the US), and postal or zip code (e.g., "New York, NY 10001").
The hyphen is a tool as well — the numbers in front indicate the nearest cross-street, while the numbers after the hyphen are the house building number.
For those who do wish to write directly to The Queen, the letter should begin 'Madam' or 'May it please Your Majesty'. It ends with 'I have the honour to remain, Madam, Your Majesty's most humble and obedient subject' and then your name. Within the body of the letter do not use 'you' (singular) or 'your' (singular).
All addresses in Queens are written with four basic fields: Numeric field indicating the lower numbered street. Hyphen which is assumed to be in any Queens address. Numeric field indicating the house number. Street name, usually but not always, numeric.
