A SPOUSE WHO INTENDS TO CHANGE THEIR NAME AFTER MARRIAGE MUST SIGN & PRINT ALL THREE DOCUMENTS WITH THE NAME THEY WILL BE USING AFTER THE WEDDING. The officiant must enter the name of the city, village, or township, and the name of the county in which the marriage is being performed.

All in person filers must go to the Wayne County Clerk, in Room 201 of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, located at Two Woodward Avenue, Detroit, 48226. It is important that all documents are complete at the time of submission.

To obtain a Pennsylvania marriage license, both applicants must appear at the county court together in person. Applicants must bring a valid photo ID and should arrive no later than 4 p.m. Applicants must know their social security number, parents' birth places and mother's maiden name.

One applicant may make the application in person as long as he/she has the necessary information and I.D. for both parties, unless you apply online - then both applicants must appear. Note: For an Online marriage, both applicants must be present to pick the marriage license up. Their address on their current I.D.

You and your prospective spouse must have at least one witness, who must be 18 years of age or over. The witness or witnesses must bring proper identification. Because of Covid-19 restrictions, we currently only allow one witness.
