A Celebrated History. For New York City's moviegoing public at the dawn of the Cinema Age, Kings Theatre was a palace. Built in 1929 as one of Loew's “wonder theaters,” it featured French Renaissance-style architecture inspired by the Palace of Versailles and the Paris Opera House.

You need a permit to hold an event in the park with more than 20 people, also for anything with amplified sound, or to set up a tent or other structure.
Street or Park Street performers usually do not need a permit. However, a permit is required if you: Use a sound device such as a loud speaker, megaphone, or stereo. Perform in or next to a park.
You must have a Special Event permit to hold any event with more than 20 people in a park or on a beach, including barbecues and parties. You will be advised if you need any additional permits for your event once you submit the application.
