In order to convert a fillable PDF file into a non-fillable file, you must PRINT IT TO PDF. Please always PRINT fillable PDF files to PDF so that when you send them to Ms. Smith, they are no longer fillable. (Your PDF won't actually be printed; it will be saved as a regular, non-fillable PDF file.)
On Windows, just follow these steps: Right-click your PDF. Select Properties. Choose Read-only. Click OK.
