The College observes recess days on the weekend following Thanksgiving, a Thursday - Sunday Rodeo Recess based on the schedule of the Tucson Rodeo, and a Winter Recess beginning on December 24th and continuing through the federally observed New Year's Day holiday of January 1st.

If you have not been present in class during the last 10 days, please know that after 14 days of non-attendance, your registration status will be changed to "Registered but Not Attending." This means your instructor or the College may withdraw you from the class.

If you might need to miss more than 1 week of classes in any one semester you will be required to provide a doctor's note of explanation to avcforstudentlearning@pima.

Children between the ages of six (6) and sixteen (16) are required by AZ law to attend school. Children are allowed to miss eighteen (18) days of school. That's a combination of excused and unexcused absences. Nineteen (19) absences or more is breaking the law.

Students with 3 or more unexcused absences will be reported to TUSD Truancy Enforcement.

Electronic Transcripts (eTranscripts) must be sent from the issuing institution through a secure web delivery system (eTranscripts forwarded by students will not be accepted). Paper transcripts must be delivered in a sealed, unopened envelope from the issuing institution. 4905B E. Broadway Blvd.
