A blinking orange light can mean the printer is trying to print something, but is low on ink, out of paper, or there's a paper jam.
It sounds like your black print nozzle is obstructed beyond the abilities of the cleaning cycle. The orange color is yellow and magenta ink, which your printer driver intended to mix with the black ink for this particular image. When no black ink is available, the normally subtle colors become clearly visible.
Simply hold the printer's stop/reset button for 20 seconds. If you're unsure which button this is, see the image below. Once this is done you should no longer get updates about your ink levels (if you are still seeing them, try turning your printer off and on after you've reset it).

This could be due to low ink levels, a clogged print nozzle, or some other hardware issue. If you did replace the color ink cartridge and are still having the problem, you should have a print nozzle cleaning function that came with the printer software or driver.
The line of yellow will be the color in the printhead, if it's orangish then you definitely have a cross contamination isue, (or a slim chance of discolored ink in the cartridge/lines).
When a colour ink cartridge is expended, it is possible to continue printing colour documents using the Black Print Mode option for a limited period. The following message appears on the printer's LCD panel when the colour ink has expended.
