Yes.You will be mailed a summons form with a date to report and a qualification questionnaire to complete and return within ten (10) days to the Court. Some courts, like Travis County, conduct pretrial hearings the morning of the trial. At pretrial hearings, the court will hear motions in limine. Motion or a cover letter is a lead document with the Order filed as an attachment. Be sure to select all services requested such as Issuance or Jury fees under. A summary jury trial is generally a one-day jury trial with relaxed rules of evidence similar to arbitration. A Houston judge has denied Travis Scott's motion to be dismissed from sprawling litigation over the 2021 disaster at the Astroworld music festival. Submitting an Agreed Scheduling Order or Docket Control Order is not sufficient means to set a jury trial or pre-trial hearing date.
