When writing a jury excuse letter, directly state why you cannot serve and how serving would lead to hardship. C. Notwithstanding subsection B of this section, a prospective juror who is at least seventy-five years of age may submit a written statement to the court requesting that the person be excused from service. The prospective juror may request to be excused temporarily or permanently.
