Select the objects you wish to copy, and then right-click or press the Enter key to apply. Next you are prompted to select a base point. The point selected will be the reference point used when the part is pasted back and will be positioned relative to the base point selected in the drawing.
Copy and Paste with Base Point Press Ctrl+Shift+C or enter COPYBASE at the command prompt. Select the base point. Select the objects to copy and press Enter. The objects are now available to be pasted into the same drawing or another drawing.
The Copy with insertion point command allows you to place the selected elements in the SOLIDWORKS Electrical clipboard. It is used to copy several types of elements and it is only available in the graphical area.
