Miami-Dade County's 311 Contact Center serves as a primary channel for accessing non-emergency government services and information in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Residents can call 311 to obtain information about local government services, report issues, request services and ask questions.
If you wish to report a Code Compliance violation, you may do so by calling 311. You may also contact us by calling (305) 416-2087 between 8 AM and 5 PM.
The claim can be filled and submitted online at the Miami-Dade County Clerk's Office. You may print out the application and file the claim in person at a local courthouse if you choose. More resources are available on the Miami-Dade County Law Library site.
To file a formal consumer complaint, complete the below affidavit and save a copy of your completed affidavit for your records. You can print, sign, date and submit the affidavit by email (send as a pdf attachment to consumer@miamidade), fax to 786-469-2303 or mail to the address at the top of the affidavit.

Florida allows substitute service when serving recipients with legal documents proves difficult. Process servers can leave the documents with anyone over the age of 15 in the recipient's home to meet the legal requirements of substitute service.
As an affirmative defense, if insufficient service of process is not asserted in a Rule 12(b) motion or in the answer to the pleading, then it may be deemed waived.
