Every jurisdiction releases their bar exam results independently. While release dates vary by jurisdiction and from year to year, reporting and grading periods typically fall between 6-12 weeks.
For comparison, North Carolina often has the speediest bar exam results (released in about 4 weeks!), while California has the slowest bar exam results (released in about 14 weeks).
Results are released about 12-14 weeks after the February exam and 16-18 weeks after the July exam.
Results from the July 2024 bar exam will be released to applicants through the Applicant Portal on November 8, 2024, at p.m. The pass list will be posted on the Examination Pass List webpage on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
The answer files of unsuccessful applicants will be posted in the Applicant Portal with the release of results. Successful applicants do not receive their grades nor their MBE scores and will not have their answers returned.
California:: Yes, but only for people who registered with the State Bar of California and have log in credentials to their website. Results are posted online and include successful applicants first and last names as well as their city and state.

Is The California Bar Exam Hard? Yes, the California bar exam is widely considered to be the most difficult of all state bar exams in the US. The California bar exam has a pass rate of 34%.
The 79.18% pass rate was up slightly from the 78% pass rate earned by first-time bar examinees in 2022, but lower than the 80% pass rate among 2021 takers and the 84% pass rate earned by 2020 examinees.
To pass the examination an applicant must have a total scaled score of at least 1440 points out of a possible 2000 points.
