FAQ

In Minnesota, judges are appointed through a combination of the governor's selection and nonpartisan elections. The governor appoints judges to fill vacancies, often choosing from a list provided by a judicial selection committee. After serving a certain period, these judges stand for election to secure their positions permanently. This process ensures that judges remain accountable to the citizens while also being vetted for their qualifications.
