Entry of applicants into the Passport Office is not prohibited to make any correction in their documents or to get any updates. If any correction is needed after submission of the application, applicant can visit enquiry counter in the RPO concerned either by scheduling an appointment online or walk-in.

Most of the time, once the application is submitted, you cannot directly edit the information online. If there is no option to edit the application online, contact the DFA's Help Desk or Customer Service at least a few days before your appointment to inquire about correction procedures.

I have printed my online form and have found a mistake. How can I correct it? A: At the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) please ask the Citizen Service Executive (CSE) i.e. at Counter-A to make the required changes in the application form.

A) The Consulate cannot make any changes in passport details as filled by the applicant in their form. As such applicants are advised to fill the form carefully. If applicant is required to correct a mistake, they will have to apply for another renewal of passport, using the option 'Change in Personal Particulars'.

To change the date/place of birth in the passport, you have to apply for a "Re-issue" of passport and get the specified change done in the personal particulars.
