Washington Cooperative-Mutual Associations Notification of Claim Exemption is a notification issued by the state of Washington to inform members of a cooperative-mutual association of their right to be exempted from certain claims and liabilities related to the association. This notification applies to members of the association who are not actively participating in the association’s activities and who have not received any financial benefit from the association. The exemption applies to any claims brought against the association or its members for damages or other losses arising out of the activities of the association or any of its members. There are two types of Washington Cooperative-Mutual Associations Notification of Claim Exemptions: 1. An exemption for members of a cooperative-mutual association that is organized and operated solely for the benefit of its members. 2. An exemption for members of a cooperative-mutual association that is organized and operated for the benefit of the public.
