A Virginia Order Disposing of Motion is a court order issued by a Virginia judge in response to a motion filed with the court. The order either grants or denies a motion, or grants the motion in part and denies it in part. There are two types of Virginia Order Disposing of Motion: 1) Final Order Disposing of Motion — this order is a final ruling on the motion and is not appealable; and 2) Interlocutory Order Disposing of Motion — this order is a ruling on the motion before the court makes its final decision and is appealable. The order will state the motion, the reasons for the ruling, and whether it is a final or interlocutory order.
