Utah Partial Breach is a form of criminal trespass in the state of Utah. It is defined as entering or remaining in a place or structure without authorization, or in excess of authorization, with the intent to commit a crime, and then doing any act that constitutes an offense. There are three types of Utah Partial Breach: the first is breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime; the second is entering a dwelling with intent to commit a crime; and the third is entering a vehicle with intent to commit a crime. All three types of Utah Partial Breach are punishable by up to one year in jail, a fine of up to $2,500, or both.
