A Final Decree is a legal document issued by a court to finalize a divorce or other civil case. It is a judgment that resolves all outstanding issues and is signed by the judge. The Final Decree outlines the terms of the agreement, including child custody, division of assets and debts, alimony, and other matters related to the case. There are two types of Final Decrees: A Decree of Dissolution of Marriage, which is issued in a divorce case; and a Decree of Other Civil Case, which is issued in any other civil matter. Both of these Final Decrees are binding and enforceable in court.
