A Bill of Costs is a document which outlines the total amount of costs incurred during a legal dispute or in the context of a court proceeding. It typically includes the costs of legal representation, court fees, expert witnesses and other related expenses. It is typically submitted by the party who incurred the costs to the other party, who must then pay the costs. There are two types of Bill of Costs: solicitor and own client. A solicitor Bill of Costs is submitted to a paying party by a solicitor representing a client. An own client Bill of Costs is submitted by the client themselves and includes all the costs they have incurred in dealing with the legal dispute.
