Sexual Exploitation of Children — Receiving or Distributing Child Pornography (Visual Depiction of Actual Minor) involves the use of sexually explicit images of children for the purpose of sexual gratification or other exploitation of the child. This can include the production, distribution, possession, advertisement, and/or viewing of such materials. It is a form of child sexual abuse that is illegal in most countries and carries serious criminal penalties. There are two types of child pornography: virtual child pornography, which is computer-generated images that appear to depict minors, and actual child pornography, which are photos and videos of real children. The production and distribution of actual child pornography is considered to be the most serious form of sexual exploitation of children.
