Tennessee Premarital Cert of Completion is a certificate issued by the state of Tennessee that couples must obtain prior to getting married. It is a proof of successful completion of a premarital education course, which is required by the state in order for the marriage to be legally binding. The certificate is issued by the county clerk's office after the couple has completed the course. There are three types of Tennessee Premarital Certificates of Completion, each of which is valid for three years from the date of issuance: Online Course Certificate, In-Person Course Certificate, and Tennessee Statewide Online Course Certificate.
