The South Carolina Certificate of Compliance for Manufactured Home Affidavit Retirement of Title Certificate is a document used to legally retire a manufactured home title in the state of South Carolina. The certificate is used to show that the home meets all legal requirements for manufactured home construction, zoning, and safety standards. It is issued by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SC DMV) and signed by the owner(s) of the manufactured home. This document must be filed with the SC DMV in order for the title to be retired. There are two types of South Carolina Certificate of Compliance for Manufactured Home Affidavit Retirement of Title Certificate: Single-Section and Multi-Section. The Single-Section Certificate is used for homes that have one section and are not moved after being placed on a permanent foundation. The Multi-Section Certificate is used for homes that have two or more sections and are moved after being placed on a permanent foundation.
