Rhode Island Restated Articles of Organization (Domestic LLC) is a legal document used to restate the information of a business entity that was previously filed with the Rhode Island Secretary of State. This document must be filed when a domestic limited liability company (LLC) wishes to make changes to its information or to reflect changes that have already occurred. This document should include the LLC's name, address, registered agent, purpose of the business, and the duration of the LLC's existence. There are two types of Rhode Island Restated Articles of Organization (Domestic LLC): (1) the Standard Restated Articles of Organization, which is used to amend an existing LLC's information; and (2) the Certificate of Restated Articles of Organization, which is used to create a new LLC.
