Pennsylvania Arbitration — Notice of Appeal from Award is a legal document filed by a party who wishes to appeal an arbitration award issued in the state of Pennsylvania. This document must be filed in the court of the county in which the arbitration award was issued. The Notice of Appeal from Award must include a statement of the party’s objections to the award, as well as a request for a hearing to review the award. There are two types of Notice of Appeal from Award: an Appeal from an Arbitrator’s Award and an Appeal from an Umpire’s Award. The Appeal from an Arbitrator’s Award is filed when the arbitration award was issued by an arbitrator, and the Appeal from an Umpire’s Award is filed when the arbitration award was issued by an umpire. The filing of a Notice of Appeal from Award does not stay the enforcement of the award, but the court may stay the enforcement of the award upon request.
