An Oklahoma Affidavit of Judgment (Money Only) is a document filed in an Oklahoma court that gives a creditor a legal right to collect a debt owed by a debtor. It gives the creditor the right to seek a court order to have the debtor’s wages garnished or their bank accounts frozen in order to recoup the debt. The affidavit is signed by both parties and is legally binding. There are two types of Oklahoma Affidavit of Judgment (Money Only): Small Claims Affidavit of Judgment and Regular Affidavit of Judgment. Small Claims Affidavit of Judgment is used when the amount of money owed is less than $5,000, while Regular Affidavit of Judgment is used when the amount of money owed is greater than $5,000. Both forms must be completed and submitted to the court, along with the required filing fees. Once the court approves the affidavit, it is officially entered into the court record and the creditor has a legal right to collect the debt.
